3-A Certification

The integration of SN ULTRA-CLEAN technology in the multi-station machine series LMS is now certified by 3-A Sanitary Standards, Inc. (3-A SSI). This certification is of great importance particularly for the packaging of fresh dairy products, for example into stand-up pouches.

3-A SSI is an independent, nonprofit organization in the United States which develops norms and guidelines for a hygienic machine design in order to prevent contamination of edibles, especially dairy products. The internationally acknowledged 3-A SSI certificate supports producing companies in the food industry in their decision-making on the acquisition of packaging machines [www.3-a.org].

The certified SN machines of the LMS-series in ULTRA-CLEAN execution are equipped with an automatic hydrogen-peroxide sterilization which ensures sterility of the film and spouts. Furthermore the smooth and polished surfaces and the fact that all product-touching parts are made of stainless steel 316L guarantee – in combination with cleanroom-technology and a secured coldchain – a storage life of the filling goods of 40 to 75 days.

On the FFS-machines LMS 120 and LMS 124 all standard formats and contents between 70 ml and 350 ml can be produced. Format change overs are easily and quickly done by exchanging complete building groups and by using central adjustments.
